About the Exhibition
“Bridge Inside Out” is a group exhibition dedicated to the theme of neurodiversity, inviting viewers to look at the space between the inner and the outer: between a rich, complex inner world and the surrounding social environment.
In the exhibition, the artists’ works are presented alongside documentary or artistic first-person texts. In these texts, the artists describe the connection between their neurodivergent experience and their artistic process, revealing how particular modes of perception, thinking, or feeling shape their practice.
Their experiences become a source of understanding of the role art plays in the lives of neurodivergent people—as a tool for self-regulation, making sense of reality, communication, and building relationships with the world.
The bridge, as a metaphor, symbolizes a space of transition, movement, and connection, but also of distance and caution. For many participants, this bridge is not something taken for granted; it is a path toward society, toward a shared language, toward recognition and visibility. The exhibition does not seek to “explain” neurodivergence, but rather offers an opportunity for direct encounter with other perspectives, sensitivities, and inner rhythms that do not always align with commonly accepted social norms.
As part of the exhibition, World Autism Awareness Day (April 2) will be marked. This day emphasizes the importance of listening to the voices themselves—the voices of people on the autism spectrum and the broader neurodivergent community—in order to expand public and social understanding.
The exhibition is presented on the initiative of ArtNeuroVerse Biennale (since 2023)—an international non-profit project dedicated to promoting the art of neurodivergent creators, building inclusive professional platforms, and strengthening connections between art, science, and society. ANV Biennale focuses on creating adapted and safe spaces that allow artists to express themselves freely, develop their professional careers, and take part in contemporary cultural dialogue.
